About Nadine Flaharty, RN, MS, CNM
With a career spanning more than four decades, Nadine Flaharty has devoted her life to caring for women at every stage of life. She began her practice in New York, where she developed a deep passion for women’s health while delivering babies and supporting families through some of their most meaningful moments.
She went on to serve as Director of Midwifery at Norwalk Hospital in Connecticut, where she helped lead and grow midwifery services. Most recently, she delivered babies in Baltimore before transitioning her focus exclusively to gynecology over the past 10 years.
Today, Nadine specializes in comprehensive gynecologic care with particular interests in:
• Vulvar dermatology
• Hormone replacement therapy
• Hereditary cancer syndromes and risk assessment
She is passionate about caring for women across the lifespan — from adolescents navigating their first gynecologic visits to post-menopausal women seeking confident, empowered care.
Nadine earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Columbia University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from City College of New York. She has been in clinical practice since 1985.
She is a member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) and remains deeply committed to lifelong learning and evidence-based women’s healthcare.
Outside of medicine, Nadine enjoys shopping, traveling to warm sunny beaches, and spending cherished time with her daughter and two wonderful grandchildren. She has been happily married for 25 years.
Her philosophy is simple: women deserve experienced, straightforward, compassionate care — delivered with honesty, humor, and respect.
